Organisation:Message Home

Comment:

Message Home is a unique confidential service run by the charity Missing People (see separate record) offering help, advice and support to adults who are missing. Message Home is a twenty four hour freephone number for people seeking confidential help and advice. If appropriate, Message Home can help people to contact their family or carers, or to assist them to find a place of safety.
People go missing for many reasons. Often people who have left home or run away find it hard to make direct contact with their family or carers; Message Home gives them the opportunity to take the first step, whilst reassuring those left behind that they are safe.
