Comment: | Occupational Therapists in Independent Practice (COTIP) is a Specialist Section of the College of Occupational Therapists, and they produce an on-line directory of Occupational Therapists. You can follow the instructions to search online, but if you have any difficulties locating a therapist, please contact their Enquiry Line on 0800-389-4873.
All the occupational therapists in the directory are State Registered by the Health Professions Council and are members of COTIP. They are all also covered by professional indemnity insurance to carry out their business.
Some of the occupational therapists listed within this directory will work within organisations, groups, or in partnerships, whilst others will be sole traders. Where occupational therapists work single-handed or without a supporting organisation, COTIP recommends at least five years' post-registration experience.
It is possible that you may be able to receive the occupational therapy service that you require free of charge from the NHS or your local authority. |
