Comment: | The Jessie May Trust provides a free Palliative Care Service for children and young people who are not expected to live beyond nineteen years. They work in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
The Trust offers support at home for all stages of a child or young person's illness from diagnosis, to terminal care, with short periods of respite, advice, terminal nursing care and bereavement support. Their Bereavement Support Service can offer families emotional, psychological and practical help as well as clinical and respite support throughout life, into death and beyond.
As a charity they do not receive any statutory funding but rely upon the generosity of the general public, businesses, charitable trusts and grant making organisations. |
