Comment: | The Headquarters of the Housing Corporation is in London and there are eight regional offices in England. Each regional office develops regional strategies, liaises with local authorities and housing associations, and allocates funds to housing associations in their region. They approve new housing projects, monitor housing associations to make sure they meet performance standards and arrange for the payment of grants.
The Headquarters is mainly responsible for developing and co-ordinating national policies and for negotiating with central government for funds.
Please note: Head Office and Regional Offices of the Housing Corporation no longer deal with public enquiries and complaints. These should be directed to the enquiries and complaints team (phone: 0845-230-7000, e-mail: [email protected]) at the Housing Corporation, 1 Park Lane, Leeds LS3 1EP (see separate record). |
