The Cheltenham and Tewkesbury Recovery Team comprises a Consultant Psychiatrist, Registered Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologist and Social Workers, and since March 2004 it has been based at Avon House. It provides ongoing assessment, treatment and management of risk for adults of working age suffering with severe and enduring mental illness, and provides support for their carers. Access is referral from the Cheltenham and Tewkesbury PCAT (see separate record). Evidence-based treatment is provided through a combination of individual sessions, psycho-educational groups, OT activities,social. leisure and vocational skills training. Referral to other specialists and / or agencies is made subject to assessed need.
