The Gloucestershire Criminal Justice Liaison Service (GCJLS) scheme is a multi agency response to meet the needs of those charged with a criminal offence. It recognises that the Mentally Disordered are better served within the Health and Social Services rather than the Criminal Justice Service. The GCJLS aims to assess the needs of these people and arrange where possible for the local services to meet these needs.
Referrals are accepted from: Criminal Justice Agencies, Police, Probation, Mental Health Services, users of mental health services and their carers.
