Organisation:Forest of Dean Women's Services

Comment:

The Forest of Dean Women's Service started in June 1995 to help any women living in the Forest of Dean who are suffering domestic abuse who may need to leave home for reasons of personal safety. The service is not simply for women within the Forest area but aims to assist women countywide and even nationwide where necessary. The Refuge offers information and support for women and children enduring abuse and it also provides a follow-up service for those women who have left the Refuge. There is a twenty four hour call service.
They also offer a floating support service to women living in the community who cannot or choose not to access refuge accommodation.
