Comment:

OASIS is a UK based voluntary support group for people who wish to adopt, or who have already adopted, children from orphanages overseas. They provide support and information from the first thoughts about overseas adoption, through the process itself and dealing with issues post adoption.
OASIS is run entirely by unpaid volunteers and is non-profit making. All proceeds are used firstly to support the actual running costs of the group for members. Any excess funds are donated to orphanages and children's charities in developing countries.
OASIS has a membership of approximately one thousand and a membership list is produced annually so that members can get in touch with each other for advice and support. Members receive copies of 'Mosaic', the OASIS newsletter, invitations to conferences / seminars and social events.
