Age Concern Scotland, formed in 1943, is concerned with the welfare of older people in Scotland.
It has over two hundred and fifty local groups in membership, providing practical services, social activities, lobbying and campaigning. Some are groups of older people, some bring all ages together. Other members include professional groups, voluntary agencies, national organisations and individuals.
A confidential telephone and personal advice and counselling service runs Monday to Friday from 10:00am to 4:00pm on 0845-125-9732.
A quarterly newsheet is published, plus a range of books and pamphlets.
