Comment: | L'Arche is a registered charity running community homes and workshops where people with learning disabilities and their assistants share life together. There are nine community centres throughout the UK, at Inverness, Edinburgh, Preston, Liverpool, Brecon, Bognor Regis, Lambeth, Ipswich and Kent. L'Arche communities are places where people with and without learning disabilities live and work together in a simple way, to build community in the spirit of Jesus - places which offer a way of life that is not competitive, nor dependent on material success and intellectual achievement.
