The Starlight Children's Foundation is a registered charity that brightens the lives of seriously and terminally ill children by granting their wishes and providing hospital entertainment to help take their minds off the pain, fear and isolation of their illness.
Anyone can refer a child to Starlight for a wish; a few simple criteria have to be met. The child must:
be suffering from a potentially life-shortening or life-threatening illness;
be aged between four and eighteen inclusive;
be able to choose abnd articulate the wish for themselves;
not have received a wish from another wish-granting organisation.

NB Parents MUST be informed if their child is to be nominated for a wish.
