Comment:

The British Society for Disability and Oral Health, which has been operating for over seventeen years with approximately five hundred members, brings together all dentists who care for disabled people. It promotes dental health for disabled people of all ages. A range of advice sheets is produced to assist members with particular patients, such as adults who cannot understand the proposed treatment, domiciliary dental care visiting, dental care for people in institutions, and dental care training. The Society keeps a register of members special interests, for people who have difficulty securing appropriate dental care. Membership includes the Journal of Disability and Oral Health.
