Comment:

Dogs for the Disabled train specially selected dogs to perform tasks which disabled people find difficult or impossible to perform themselves, and to provide them with companionship, independence and security. Dogs can, for example, be trained to retrieve a cordless phone, open and close doors, activate light switches, or retrieve letters and newspapers from the letterbox. The dogs are trained to suit the individual needs of the recipient, and also trained in public hygiene. They are chosen with extreme care, from a variety of sources.
