The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) aim to ensure that risks to people's health and safety from work activities are properly controlled. This includes the operations of the Employment Medical Advicsory Service (EMAS). For all enquiries (including for EMAS) ring the HSE InfoLine on 0845-345-0055 (open 8:30am to 5:00pm, weekdays - see separate record). Offices shops and similar businesses, food outlets, etc. are monitored by local council environment officers.
