The Philadelphia Association is a charity concerned with the understanding and relief of mental suffering. Our work is informed by a critical engagement with philosophical and psychoanalytical ideas.
The Association runs a small number of therapeutic community households, also psychotherapy training courses and public lectures and conferences. Their Introductory Course is open to those interested in the general field of psychotherapy.
The Association was founded in 1965 and is a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). It is a registered charity. Further information is available on request.
