The Midlands Asthma and Allergy Research Association (MAARA) is a registered charity, founded over thiry years ago to conduct and fund research into the cause and treatment of asthma and other allergies.
MAARA gives practical help and support;
runs an extensive information service in Derby and Leicester;
carries out aerobiological research, having a pollen and spore databank extending over several decades;
provides education on anaphylaxis;
gives support to the local Peanut and Nut Allergy groups;
funds asthma and allergy research; produces an annual newsletter.
