Comment:

The Association for Research in the Voluntary and Community Sector (ARVAC) was established formally in December 1978 to promote, disseminate and discuss research on voluntary organisations, volunteer involvement, community action, self-help and informal caring. ARVAC organises seminars and conferences, produces a quarterly newsletter, giving information on research projects, new books and bibliographic material, and issues its own publications.
The ARVAC database of information on research in the voluntary sector provides a speedy and efficient information service.
