Comment: | The purpose of the Family Fund is to ease the stress on families who care for severely disabled children under sixteen, by providing grants related to the care of the child. The Fund is an independent organisation registered as a charity and funded by the government administrations of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Grants given include washing machines, holidays, leisure activities, driving lessons, bedding, clothing and other items related to the care of the child. Families should apply in writing on the application form availabe from the Fund's office. It can also be downloaded from their website, and families can also apply on-line. |
