Organisation:Fair Shares - Priors Park Tewkesbury

Comment:

Fair Shares is a new kind of money based on time. You earn one Fair Share for each hour that you spend providing a service for another participant. You can spend your Fair Shares when you need a service from someone else, give them to a member of your family who needs some help or save them up for future use. Fair Shares can also be called a Community Time Bank.
When you join the scheme an account will be opened for you. Your hours will be banked on a computer 'time bank' for you to spend when you need them. You will be sent a regular statement of the time you have given and received.
Services people provide include shopping, driving, decorating, cycle repairs, lawn mowing, car washing, form filling, letter writing, knitting, gardening, computing, befriending, photography, dog walking, pet care, listening, sewing, plant watering etc.
You will need to complete a small amount of paperwork with Claire as this will help her to match the skills and requirements of people in the community - then Claire will keep in touch to make sure that it all goes well.
This branch of Fair Shares is supported by Cheltenham and Tewkesbury NHS PCT
