The Society is dedicated to providing information and support so that those with the condition may make the most of their remaining vision. There is a quarterly magazine, Side View, written by members for members, available in large print or on audio tape. Its content is wide ranging and includes articles on Macular Disease, low vision aids, the latest developments in Macular Disease research and news from members.
There are member groups around the UK and a total membership of over ten thousand, including members outside the UK.
