The Civil Service Benevolent Fund (CSBF) provides for serving, former and retired staff of the Civil Service and associated organisations and their dependants. The Fund runs an information service, a care placement and advisory service helping with residential and nursing home care and a visiting service to help potential applicants. The Fund provides financial assistance in the form of grants in emergencies, general grants for essential items, loans, and allowances to assist with costs such as childcare or Nursing Home fees.
