Comment:

The Christian Lewis Trust is a charity whose aims are to improve the quality of life for children affected by cancer, and to provide emotional and practical support that complements and adds value to the services provided by the statutory authorities. They provide a confidential listening ear for anyone who is or ever has been affected by a child with cancer - the family centred care includes:
+ holidays - ensuring that families who need a break in the UK - at four specially choisen sites on the Welsh coastline - or at Disneyland (Paris or Florida) do not have to worry about anything but enjoying themselves;
+ play therapy - using play and creative arts to help children express their feelings and experiences, helping children affected by cancer try to come to terms with their situation;
+ befriending - either face to face, by phone or by correspondence, is available for anyone whose life has been affected by a child with cancer;
Bereavement - the charity offers one-to-one bereavement and pre-bereavement support for children and adults. And also runs support groups.
