Comment: | The Crime Reduction Strategy is about tackling crime, the fear of crime and the costs, both in financial and human terms. The Partnership works with other agencies, and this has resulted in many achievements and successes, such as the Bogus Callers scheme, the University Student Safety scheme and the Nightsafe Campaign, among others.
Gloucester's Statuory Partnership is supported by a Core Officer Group and the five following Action Groups to deliver the Action Plan projects:
+ substance abuse - aims to develop ways to address local communities' concerns;
+ property crime - aims to reduce crimes against property which significantly affect Gloucester;
+ hate crime - aims to tackle crime motivated by prejudice and hatred;
+ anti-social behaviour - aims to reduce anti-social behaviour;
+ violent crime - aims to reduce levels of violence, including domestic and alcohol related violence. |
