Comment:

The British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (BSHAA) is the professional body which represents and promotes the interests of the private hearing aid profession within the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Its objectives are:
to promote and encourage the highest standards in the practice and application of hearing aid audiology;
to regulate professional and commercial standards through a code of practice;
to ensure that its members (MSHAA) and fellows (FSHAA) are enrolled in a programme of continuing education (CUE) ;
to promote and protect the activities and interests of the societies' membership.
Members of BSHAA offer a truly local service. The Society has a directory of BSHAA members who offer advice on hearing loss and ways of overcoming it. Your BSHAA member will offer a service to ensure that you always get the best from your hearing aids. Most members also offer domiciliary visitation, so if you can not visit your local centre, they will arrange to discuss your problem in your own home.
