Comment: | The Fair Play for Children Association exists to campaign for the Childs Right to Play and supports providers of play services with advice, information, training, inspection etc. Factsheets, a journal and other publications are available. A Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks service is available, as is advice in vetting of staff and volunteers for child protection. The association is a registered umbrella body with CRB.
There is a Network of Volunteer Co-ordinators to develop the regional base of the Association, and a web-site on Fair Play related issues, some of which are downloadable.
Fair Play also campaigns on issues around children's access to play, and breaches of children's rights through unfair procedures such as blanket curfews, misappliance of acceptable behaviour contracts etc. |
