Organisation:Acceptance

Comment:

Established in 1987, 'Acceptance' is a Helpline and Support for the Parents and families of homosexual people, of whatever age. The founders and members are all parents of gay children, so are able to empathise with feelings of isolation and often devastation which parents experience in the beginning. It is hoped to bring understanding to a situation that is often feared and misunderstood. Confidentiality is of paramount importance and has never been breached since establishment. Information packs are available (£2.50 inc P&P;).
The Helpline is open Tuesday to Friday, 7:00 to 9:00pm, or try daytime hours.
'Acceptance' is a voluntary organisation and has no statutory funding, so donations are always welcome.
