Organisation:Attendance Allowance Unit Customer Service

Comment:

New claims for Disability Living Allowance (DLA) and Attendance Allowance (AA) are handled by the eleven Disability Benefit Centrs (DBC) around the UK. Unless there is an outstanding issue, including an appeal, the DBC will transfer the claim to the Disability Benefit Unit (DBU) at Warbreck House, three months after a decision has been given on the DLA or AA claim. The DBU will deal with future payments and changes in circumstance.
For enquiries and general advice on claims, please telephone the Helpline on 08457-123456. People with speech or hearing problems using a textphone can dial 08457-224433. These lines are open from 7:30am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday and all calls are charged at the local rate.
Customer reception at Warbreck House is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 9:00am to 4:30 pm on Friday for personal callers.
