Comment:

There are eight Disability Benefit Centres across the UK. Each one deals with initial applications for Attendance Allowance (AA) and Disability Living Allowance (DLA) from within its geographical area. The Bristol DBC covers Cornwall, Devon, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset and Dorset. Bristol DBC will continue to deal with your payments, changes in circumstances, review requests and appeals for three months after you receive the final decision on your claim. The claim is then transferred to Blackpool, phone 08457-123456 .
The Bristol number takes you to reception where you will be put through to whichever department you request. War pensions can also be queried on this number - now Veterans Agency.
The Outreach Manager - Caroline Ackerman - is available for training and awareness sessions on request.
