Organisation:Disability Benefit Centre

Comment:

There are eight Disability Benefit Centres across the UK. Each Office deals with initial applications for Attendance Allowance and Disability Living Allowance, from within its geographical area, except for Sutton's area, which is now dealt with by the centre at Blackpool. The Wembley DBC covers the North London area - postcodes EC1-EC4, E1-E18, N1-N22, NW1-NW11, W2-W13 but not W1, W8, W6 & W14 as they are dealt with by Blackpool - plus Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Middlesex, Oxfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. Once a final decision has been made the DBC will continue to deal with payments, changes in circumstances, reconsider requests and appeals for three months.
After this time the claim will be transferred to the Disability Contact Processing Unit (DCPU) at Blackpool (Helpline 08457-123456) who will deal with any further aspects.
