Organisation:Counselling and Involuntary Tranx Addiction

Comment:

Counselling and Involuntary Tranx Addiction (CITA) was founded in 1987 to respond to concerns about addiction to tranquillisers and anti-depressives. The aims of the organisation are to raise awareness regarding addiction to benzodiazepanes, tranquillisers and sleeping pills, support withdrawal and rehabilitation of those addicted to tranquillisers, train and support doctors and health workers concerning benzodiazepine withdrawal. Training is also arranged in Liverpool and they will travel to any suitable venue.
The telephone helpline is staffed by volunteer experts trained by CITA, 10:00am to 1:00pm, seven days per week.
