Comment: | Genome is now providing the same service as provided by the Leeds Antenatal Screening Service (LASS) for some years - originally Down's Syndrome screening - and now including screening for Cystic Fibrosis and Fragile X. The aim of antenatal CF screening is to identify couples where both partners are carriers. The service offers information on the latest methods of screening and offers a support service to healthcare providers and their patients. It can offer information, counselling and advice about screening tests for Downs Syndrome and Cystic Fibrosis.
In conjunction with Leeds Ultrasound Screening Service (LUSS), they run the Leeds Screening Centre. Further information about the Centre can be found at www.leedsscreeningcentre.org.uk. |
