Comment:

There are eight Disability Benefit Centres across the UK. Each one deals with all applications for Attendance Allowance and Disability Living Allowance within their geographical area. The DBC in Edinburgh covers all areas in Scotland apart from Strathclyde. Form completion is dealt with in the processing section; please contact them to make an appointment - or you can go through the Benefit Enquiry Line (0800-88-22-00, mini com 0800-24-33-55). Once a final decision has been made the DBC will continue to deal with payments, changes in circumstances, reconsider requests and appeals for three months. After this time the claim will be transferred to the Disability Contact Processing Unit (DCPU) at Blackpool (Helpline 08457-123456) who will deal with future payments and changes in circumstances etc.
