Organisation:Family Rights Group (England and Wales)

Comment:

The Family Rights Group is a national independent organisation which advises families involved with Social Services about the care and protection of their children. They develop and promote services that help secure the best possible futures for children and families. They believe that the best decisions will be made when children, parents and families are involved in the decision making process. Their aims are therefore:
+ to promote full participation by families in planning and decision making about their own children;
+ to promote full participation by service users and potential service users in the design, delivery and evaluation of local child and family welfare services;
+ to develop and improve practices by lawyers, social workers and other relevant groups;
+ to campaign for improvements in relevant policy and legislation.
A confidential telephone and written advice service are also offered.
