Comment: | The Centre offers a range of services for the management of complex disability and rehabilitation patients. Referrals for medical and neuro-rehabilitation services are from specialities within Queen Mary's and other Hospitals or from GP's. A full range of prosthetic services is available with on-site manufacture. There are close links with the Orthopaedic Unit of Kingston Hospital. Dedicated departments of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy form part of the Centre's multidisciplinary approach to patient care and case management.
There are direct-referral orthotic and podiatric (chiropody) departments, and the Centre also has a wheelchair service and a regional service for special seating.
On site manufacturing facilities support all these services. |
