Comment:

The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund (RAFBF) offers financial help to eligible applicants in need. Most of the welfare work is in the form of a grant or loan for such problems as disability, sickness, infirmity, accident or poverty. In cases where death or severe disablement has occurred whilst serving, the Fund will firstly look to help with the immediate problems of accommodation and childrens education if any exist. If an applicant is elderly, nursing or residential care might be offered or where appropriate sheltered housing respite or regular care.
