Young Gloucestershire is a youth work team for Gloucestershire, offering a wide range of events, workshops and new skills to young people. Though staffed by professionals, Young Gloucestershire is a voluntary agency, operating in partnership with the Local Enterprise Agency (LEA) and the Youth and Community Service. Projects include health education (HIV, AIDS, teenage pregnancies), support for young people leaving home in rural areas and work with the Prince's Trust under the Prince's Trust Team Programme (Tel. 01452-501008 [email protected]). There are workshops and fun events, as well as work training. The team works primarily with youth groups and clubs.
They also run the Millennium Volunteers scheme for young people aged sixteen to twenty four which helps to develop their skills and life experience. The contacts for this are Sarah Thompson, Sam Allaway and Peter Lay. The address and phone numbers are the same as for Young Gloucestershire; e-mail is [email protected]
