Comment:

Chronic Granulomatous Disorder (CGD) is a rare inherited blood disorder. People with CGD cannot fight off certain bacterial and fungal infections, leading to serious illnesses and complications. This charity offers links with other families, information for families and professionals, and boosts fund-raising for research into improved treatment and a cure with gene therapy. It funds the employment of a CGD clinical nurse specialist, who visits families throughout the country. They are in touch with around one hundred and ninety families.

The CGD Research Trust is the founder member of J4G - see the Jeans for Genes website at www.jeansforgenes.com.
