Alcohol Concern is the national agency on alcohol misuse. It is:
+ working to reduce the level of alcohol misuse and to develop the range and quality of helping services available to problem drinkers and their families;
+ England's primary source of information and comment on a wide range of alcohol-related matters.
Alcohol Concern runs an Information Line (020-7922-8667, weekdays 1:00 to 5:00pm) and houses a unique library of alcohol-related literature. The library is open to the public, by appointment, Monday to Friday between 9:30am to 5:00pm. The information team can prepare tailored literature searches and reading lists using the in-house database.
The Alcohol Concern website contains information about the work of Alcohol Concern, copies of press relarses, factsheets and other publications. The site allows users to search the library database and services directory and to order publications fron the on-line bookshop.
