Action on Pre-Eclampsia (APEC) aims to educate, inform and advise the public and health professionals about the prevalence, nature and risks of pre-eclampsia and eclampsia. It campaigns for greater public awareness of the disease and for action to improve methods of detection and treatment. It supports people with these conditions and their families and promotes medical research. Action on Pre-Eclampsia also publishes information leaflets and organises conferences, study days and workshops. A Helpline is available on 020-8427-4217 (weekday mornings 10:00am to 1:00pm only) with a linked befriending service.
