Comment:

Gloucester City Council provides this service to its older and disabled residents, or those who may be a victim of crime. The purpose is to bring peace of mind to the alarm user and their family and friends.
LIFELINK is a community alarm service that enables the user to contact a control centre in times of an emergency, twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, when they are unable to reach their telephone.
The equipment works on a telephone network, by pressing a small button worn by the user. Staff at the control centre are friendly professional people who are trained to answer calls when an alarm is pressed, then they take the appropriate action to get any necessary help.
LIFELINK realises that the people most at risk or vulnerable are those who may not have local contact, lifelink can arrange a professional caring agency who will act as a local emergency contact.
There is a small weekly charge for the Lifelink service and financial assistance maybe available subject to status and availability.
