Comment: | The Coeliac UK - Gloucestershire Group is a self help support group providing a contact point for people with coeliac disease or dermatitis herpetiformis. Newly diagnosed patients are encouraged to ring for a contact person in their area for practical support. Activities around the county include autumn and spring cookery demonstrations, a New Year get together and the AGM in spring.
Mrs. Gurney, the former organiser, is sometimes able to attend the county Coeliac Clinics at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital to help patients with the practicalities of the gluten free diet, after they have seen the dietician and consultant. |
