Berkeley Hospital is a twenty bedded community hospital providing rehabilitation and nursing care to older people, terminally ill people and all conditions not requiring the acute services of a District General Hospital. There is a minor injuries unit (MIU) open twenty four hours, with open access. There is a rehabilitation department (see separate record), an X-ray department and an outpatients department, with various outpatient clinics - surgical, orthopaedic, gynaecological, pediatric, ENT, psychiatry, etc.

Other clinics and services include speech therapy, orthotist, a dental surgery (see separate record), occupational therapists and physiotherapists. The hospital has free parking, a small children's play area in MIU reception, small gardens, wheelchair access, reclining chairs for visitors and a meeting room for up to twenty people.
