Comment: | Cotswold Chine School is a residential special needs school for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. It deals with a wide range of learning difficulties and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, ADD, ADHD and Epilepsy.
The school aims to provide access to the National Curriculum through the teaching methods of Rudolf Steiner. This approach to education focuses on the individual needs of each young person and strives to formulate appropriate individually targeted strategies to help them develop emotionally, socially, spiritually and academically in order to successfully make the transition from school to the world beyond.
All students are encouraged to gain external accreditation in the form of GCSE's or ELC's. They follow a twenty four hour curriculum that incorporates education with physical and social activities. In the classroom, pupils enjoy a high student to staff ratio. Pupils live in five houses, under the supervision of qualified care staff. |
