Robinswood Childrens Centre aims to help meet the pre-school needs of the local community. Sessions available include Under 3s Group, Pre-School Group, Rising 3s Group and 3s plus Group. A Health Visitor runs a fortnightly Baby Clinic and the Community Family Worker is also a regular visitor. The cost for Nursery and 3s plus sessions is 40p and a charge of 30p is made for sessions where parents accompany children. A Speech and Language Group is run on two days a week by Speech Therapist and Family Centre Staff.
The Chidrens Centre is open for forty eight weeks a year, Monday to Friday.
They are also a training site for work experience pupils and students undertaking further education courses such as NVQs. When fuly operational, the Centre will offer family support, Jobseeker Plus advice, and all the services a childrens centre must offer.
