Diabetic clinics are held in both Gloucestershire Royal Hospital (GRH) and Cheltenham General Hospital. The Diabetes Specialist Nurses (Wilma Ross, Sian Webb, Lorraine Gaze and Sally Saunders in Gloucester, and Julie McGowan, Karen Talbot, Suzie Burns, Lisa Stoddart and Helen Giles in Cheltenham) are available for advice, education and support for people with diabetes, their families and carers. Specific referral from a doctor is needed.
If you are admitted to hospital and have concerns regarding your diabetes, you can ask to be referred to Ann Marie Vicary, the Diabetes Inpatient Facilitator.
Both clinics are open 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. Please telephone for an appointment with the diabetes nurses - there is no drop-in facility at either clinic - prior appointments are essaential.
