Comment:	The Niemann-Pick Disease Group (UK) was set up at the beginning of 1992 to support parents of children with the metabolic disease Niemann-Pick (NPD). It provides support to parents via letter and telephone and information via a Newsletter (published three times a year). The Group aims to keep parents informed of recent research, worldwide and to help them make contact with other parents of children with NPD. Niemann-Pick diseases are very rare. The group also covers Neville's Disease, Sphingomyelin Lipidosis, D.A.F. Syndrome and Juvenile Dystonic Lipidosis, which are alternative names for NPD.
