The Centre for Accessible Environments (CAE) is concerned with the practicalities of inclusive design in the built environment. They provide information, design guidance, training, consultancy services and a quarterly journal, 'Access by Design'. The Centre also runs the House Adaptations Advisory Service (HAAS), a UK-wide register of health care professionals, architects, surveyors and other related professionals who have a demonstrable knowledge of the housing needs of disabled and older people.
