Comment: | The Lady Downe Charity provides financial assistance to individuals in need, hardship or distress, to Upton St. Leonards School, to other schools attended by local children, to charitable groups within the area of benefit, and to individuals under twenty five in furtherance of their education. Beneficiaries must be residents of the parish of Upton St. Leonards as constituted pre-1966 (this includes parts of Abbeydale) and have been so resident for at least one year. |
