Comment: | The National Centre For Eating Disorders, established in 1984, is an independent organisation set up to provide solutions for all eating problems, compulsive or "binge" eating, failed or "yo-yo" dieting, bulimia and anorexia. Their services include:
+ Counselling
Therapists can provide one-to one personal therapy, group counselling and telephone counselling. They also offer help and support to the family and friends of those who are in eating distress.
+ Professional Training
The National Centre now offers the only complete Training Course in Treatment skills for eating disorders in the UK.
+ Information
An information service for students, journalists and carers. The website also holds comprehensive information.
+ Personal Assessments
Individual assessments can be carried out by the completion of a questionnaire by telephone, post or e-mail (there is a charge of £40 for this service)
The Head Office is based at Esher in Surrey and there is an expanding network of specially trained therapists in London and in other regional centres (please check out the Centre locations on the website).
