U3A is a national organisation which exists to engender a positive and creative approach to retirement by providing educational, social and leisure activities for retired people. No qualifications are required to join the University of the Third Age - Fairford, and none are awarded. Members take part at their own pace in whatever interests them. There is no formal teaching and activities occur in a relaxed social environment, usually in members homes. Group activities currenlty provided at the University of the Third Age - Fairford include Book Circle, Bridge, Circuit Training, Garden Design, Music Listening, Model making, Poetry etc. These activities run during the daytime, Monday to Friday. Fairford is a part of the Cotswold Link group of U3A's.
